18. No prayer meeting The S.S. convention had met in Maxwell
19. Womans C. F. M. met today at D.D.'s only Myself & Mr Elder prayer meeting tonight I was not there

22 Not so cold. Grant from McGill preached today
23 Kind of mild with some snow Gardenfield {sold?} sugar
24 Cold again Sent a letter to Murdy $.400
25 Not many at Prayer Meeting Daniel Scot took charge of it Jennet McLennan played. took in Cook stove
26 snowing. I went to see Peggy and took Auntie with me. Peggy is 82/. And her brother Alick is 85.
27 Stormy today had a letter from Murdy and one from Jimie. Got 1 corn broom at Dan's charged

31 This is Fars birthday. he went this evening to Uncle Donalds Donald Ferguson paid Pa $.2000 with interest. and the ballance due on the hay. This has been a very cold month. And it brought sadness to many a home there was a very fierce blizzard in the Western States over 300. persons perished. And a greate many cattle and sheep Dakota, had it more severe.
