January, 1928

1 Sunday. Cold and windy. Snowflurries. Ella, Vernon & Willard went to Sunday school this morning and we all went to Sim. Weaver's for New Year's dinner. Willard went home

2 Monday. Beautiful clear, cold day. Ella did her washing. Walter killed a cattle beast here for Enoch Schneider and went over to Milford Auger's and brought home a little Berkshire hog. This afternoon he butchered 2 pigs at Louis Miller's. Harvey & Vernon worked in our bush.

3 Tuesday. Cold and snowed. We butchered 3 pigs here today for Israel Good and Ezra Maurer was here and helped all day. Schmehl's butcher killed a cattle beast here this afternoon. Harvey & Vernon finished cutting wood in our bush. Other callers - Enoch & Irvin Schneider, Addison & Lorne Reist, Clarence Farncombe and Charles Miller.
