January, 1928

25 Wednesday. Fierce blizzard blowing all day. Walter opened the lane towards evening and drove up to Lincoln Weaver's and brought Harold home with him. We didn't go to church tonight as the roads are heavy.

26 Thursday. Cold & clear. Snowed this morning. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira and went to J.B. Snyder's sale at Floradale this p.m. Walter, Ella, Vermon & Harold drove to church in the sleigh tonight.

27 Friday. Cold & fair. 5 felow zero this morning. Harold went to Elmira with Noah Miller this afternoon. Wlater called at Earl's and Louis. Walter, Ella and Vermon went to church tonight.

28 Saturday. Clear and cold. Walter took a load of {grist?} to Floradale this morning. Callers were- Ephraim, Irvin and Noah Shoemaker, Louis Miller and Elam Gingrich.
