8 Wednesday. Hot day. The men finished cutting the wheat. Ella did the washing. Orpha Miller visited Betty this afternoon and was here for tea. Louis Miller spent the evening here.

9 Thursday. Very hot. Ella & Betty went to Elmira with Walter and all had their dinner at Norman Snyder's. Vernon was scuffling roots.

10 Friday. Hot & threatening Shower this evening. Walter & Vernon helped to thresh wheat at Noah Miller's this afternoon. Betty visited Orpha this afternoon and stayed for tea. Rev. & Mrs.E.N.Becker called this afternoon.

11 Saturday. Lovely cool day. Walter & Vernon helped to tresh at Noah Miller's They moved the outfit over here and started here around 5 p.m. These men were here - Alex. MacDonald and his man, Eph Snyder, Walter Adler, Noah Miller, {Homer?} Henderson, Eddie Hornshy. Other company for tea. {name?} Smith Mr. & Mrs. Frank Hamel and Constance. Betty went home with them tonight .
