Dane Mapin here for dinner. Jack & he went away about four o'clock. Thunder storms going round all day. Raining mostly all afternoon and {guile?} heavy about seven & eight o'clock.

MONDAY, 23

Jack Chapping and Brock cleaned hen house in forenoon. Sprouting potatoes in afternoon. Black went up about five to heep {Elevin} raise his driving house. I went to train to Cloudy in a.w but brightened.
