Thursday Aug. 7. Fine & hot. Temp. 59°. Hoeing all day.
Friday Aug. 8. Fine & hot. Temp. 68. Hoeing all day. Noble and J. Scott were at Paisley.
Saturday Aug. 9 Heavy rain in morning and fine in the afternoon. Temp. 69°. No work done. I came in with J. Scott. Noble came home. J. C. was in with crop. Uncle Andrew Aunt Minnie & H. Hamilton were in.
Sunday. Fine & warm.
Monday Aug. 11. Fine & warm. Noble went to Scott's Papa & Mamma went out to Christies and then to Uncle Andrew's. Oliver remained at Christie's I went out to Scott's for wheel and then to Uncle Alfred's. I was out shooting but got nothing. Uncle Alfred's lost one of their young cattle.
Tuesday Aug. 12. Fine and hot. Uncle Alfred cut the little field of barley and some of the oats. We went for two rides.
