The Dunblane garden party was held in Young's. War is imminent in Europe. Dunblane defeated Burgoyne 15 to 6.

Friday July 31 Fine and hot. I went over to Uncle Andrew's after dinner. we were hauling in the oats which the worms attacked.

Saturday August 1. Fine and hot. I came home to-night.

Sunday August 2. Fine and hot.

Monday August 3. Fine and hot. Noble and I came over to our work. Uncle Andrew started cutting the road field. Aunt Jeannie Loy and Jane Ann Rowand were over to-night.

Tuesday August 4. Fine and hot. Stooking in road field. I came home.
