May

Th. 1st. sowed the orchard to wheat. Making fence by the orchard.

T. 2nd. Making fence. Mr Goble Killed Rose's calf. Ruby? shoes? ? 21/2 cents.

W. 3rd. Sowed the new piece that we added to the orchard with wheat.

Th. 4th. Made a fence between the old pasture and the fall wheat. To Hilkers helping to raise a shed.

F. 5th. Getting muck on the garden with the barrow.

S. 6th. Do------------------------------- Loging a little and chopping wood.

M. 8th. Splitting wood transplanted some Rhubarb plants

T. 9th. Splitting wood and working in the garden.

W. 10th. Sent a little note to Mr A Delf enclosed in the Gobles letter. Working in the garden. A load of straw of C F S. and 25 cts in cash paid a quarters postage on Freds Observer.

Th 11th. In the garden planted onions for seed the top onions the English potatoe onions and a few small potato onions.

F. 12th. Went to Southampton and received the money from Uncle Frederick through the Bank the amount in Sterling £55.14.0 add premium 91/2 $271.88 less the per ct. to Commercial Bank for Collection 66 cts. also Bill? Stamps 9 cts. Balance of ? $270.31 cts. Paid Robert Craig and Brothers for 23 Bushls.10 lbs. of peas 17.25 cts.

S. 13th. Took up Robert Mortgage with J.J. Lehnen and paid blanace due on same. $131.00for Robert to Mr Gordon. Six Dolrs and for Peas oats turnip seed coal oil $10.50 and left due on same One Dolr. These last items on family etc. to James George on Roberts a/c $3.50. socks for Father 50 cts. cash to Robert 50 cts. (In the family ? above should be included timothy seed).

M. 15th. Sowed some timothy seed at the hill? of very faint ink? ? per acre fence making and draging.

T. 16th. Posted a letter to Uncle Frederick Parker containing a receipt for £80.0.0 sterling singed by Father Mother Myself Wife, Robert and Fred this money is loaned to us
