Nathaniel Edward Leeder's Day Book and Memoranda. for the year 1866 January.

M. 1st. C.F Schwendker cut a pair of pants for me. Attended the annual meeting of the Port Elgin Society of the new Jerusalem was appointed recording secretary and one of the trustees. promised two Dolrs towards the funds.

T. 2nd. G. Ruppel J. Bartels & myself as Trustees for the Society to Port Elgin held a meeting this morning, when we gave Bartels an order on the Treasurer of said Society for the sum of Four Dolrs. as pay for his services for lighting fires cleaning room etc. They agreed to allow me half a Dolr. for the wood I carried for church purposes. Barttls agreed to light fires keep room clean etc. for the present year for the sum of Four Dolrs. Hauled on One Cord and a quarter of wood for James George shoemaker on
