S. 1st. George Mogg Four Bushls. of peas at fifty cts. per Bushl. = $2.00 paid. Tom Mogg One Bushl. not paid; Robert went to Port Elgin with Ten Bushls of peas for Mrs. Izzard, paid. I was working all day helping Schwendker to dig a ditch up the road to let the water out of the crop ditch from his house. Robert helped us in the afternoon.
M. 3rd. C F. Schwendker 14 B. 28 lbs of peas = $7.23 c. to my A/C. John Davidson splitting rails for Robert. half day. Robert burning the old fence between him and Uncle Iden plowing this afternoon. Bought of Gordon fifty cents worth of powder. Bought of Dilman Bricker 13 cts worth of gum caps paid.
T. 4th. Plowing in the afternoon.
W. 5th. Today the Lake Shore boys turned out for a grand shooting match to see which party Should pay for the supper. John Stuart and Moffat Craig were captains, Stuarts party came off Victorious and we had to pay the piper it cost each of us Sixty two and a half cents. Robert was plowing and Father went with a grist to mill.
Th. 6th. Plowing, Father and Robert finished hauling potatoes to the cellar.
F. 7th. Plowing Robert and Father helping C F S. to put his straw into the barn.
S. 8th. Robert, Fred, and Myself attended the funeral of John Hutchison.
M. 10th. Robert and myself making road in the Gore. George Roppel Peas 66 lbs.
Wrote a letter to Uncle Fred and Posted it 121/2 c.
