  <td>we raked & cocked first peace that we cut in the north field it is in good order I raked a piece on this side it is heavier & greener we could not cock it had not time</td>

  <td>heavy rain most of the day we got in the hay that was in the orchard before it came or there was 2 loads of it put in over the cow stable in the new barn </td>

  <td>we spread out some of the hay this morning Fred Johnston helped in the afternoon to draw in  I raked</td>

  <td>we mowed over next the fall wheat I mowed Dan took it away with the fork it is so heavy it gathered in bunches & is lodged & lying down fine warm day</td>

  <td>Dan went to look for a man for to help to stack he came back after noon brought his Father with him we made a stack bottom 9 loads in it </td>
