March 1 | the Revd Mr Stevenson preached here this evening Mr Samuel Donovan came for him this morning took him to Fairfax & Sand Bay & brought him back at night side note rain most of the day with a little snow | |
2 | snowed last night with a little Frost & same to day we cleaned up 11 bags of Wheat & 18 of oats for feed | |
3 | Ad went to Escott with the Grist he did not the wheat ground the mill was full of wheat he will not get till next week side note David came on the express for snow this morning Ad put away the ground feed & other chores Blustery Day | |

5 | Ad went to Sand Bay & brought home a load of round stuff for The Granary fine day | |
6 | Ad brought 2 long logs 24 ft & 214 ft & other stuff for the sales of The Granary cold day | |
7 | Ad went to Sand Bay this morning & home a load of Timber for an ice house at home fine day side note the 3-year-old calved this morning bull calf | |
8 | the Revd Mr Stevenson preached this morning very few out | |
9 | Ad worked at his ice house this morning he went for a load of sawdust at noon it began to storm wind & snow about 1:00 there is a fearful drift the snow is blowing all away to the north | |

11 | they fixed the saw this forenoon & sawed some in the afternoon cold windy day side note Ad drew a load of wood | |
12 | finished the sawing at Wallace's this morning Ad went for the Grist to Ascot it was not ground & could not tell when it would be there is no water | |
13 | Ad & Freeman Drew would to abs for a load of hay for Wallace it was cut on his own place they {illegible} of it home there I helped {illegible} last night | |
14 | Ad {illegible} brought off it home I went to Sand Bay with James McMillan to a session meeting Revd Mr Stevenson did not get there Hugh McKay was to brought him & he did not do it so there was sermon Mr Alexander Cochran red chapter & {illegible} | |
15 | Revd Mr Stevenson preached at night here very few Out Mr Herbison was to have come for the minister this morning it was so stormy snow & wind the roads is completely blocked up there is no such thing a horse getting through |
