Thursday April 10th

It rained nearly all day so we didn't do much but chores As I was cleaning out the stable this morning I got a sharp stitch in my side and had to go in the house and lie down till after dinner, and it was quite a while after dinner before it entirely left me. Aunty came over this mirning. This afternoon Dad fixed up the boxstall door and cleaned & admired Queen. To-night I went down to band practoce to-night. There weren't many there as all the orchestra went to Port Rowan for a dance. Bob. Rankin was down and we had a pretty fair practice. Dick had to work all evening hnting for a mistake of 40 comething dollars and we cam eto-gether trough the puring rain. Qunt got work by telephone to-day from Geordie Allen saying he had =a job for him and he is to go to Port Coulbourne to morrow night. He doesnt know yet what the job is but thinks it is a boat.
