Dad. helped me carry out my incubator out thismorning we took the seven little cickens that were in it and put them in a basket over the stove. I took the unhatched eggs out and buried them, there were forty thirty eight and twenty four of them had chicken sin them. There are 68 chicks altogether and they all seem helathy and sound but one of ther seven which has crooked legs. Dad. took the big teamback to run the ditches in the back foeld and I went over to Martin's to get sme chick feed and scratch feed. We fed the little fellows in the brooder.to-day. They thought over there that I ha da dandy hatch especially as it was the first attempt. It began to rain while I was over there and rained quite hard for awhile so I didn't get back very soon. I didn't do any thing muy=uch after that ecept ffool around. Huby came over at noon he ha dinsurance oto look after, and dug some more at his ditch. Dad. disked the garden all up.
