Tuesday November 3rd 1914.

It rained most of he morning so we didn't do much ouside. I drove the boys down to the school and the bank and when I got back Tom Abbot had his horse in the drivehouse and he was in the house getting warm and waiting for the rain to let up.When he left I went out and cleaned up out the gorse stable and then Dad & I oiled the buggy and put on the other whipple tree. Jonas came over and got Nellie with a view to taking the rest of his apples home. We saw Art Quanbury prowling around over by Martin's gully so we went over to see what they were all doing thinking we might get Joe Fields to help me build the new hen house. He said they were all busy but I might get Henry Odd who left Saturday. Art. went to take the old hen home that was s=itting under the willowtree and discovered she had just hatcjed out five chicks so he stuffed the all in his pocket and took them over. Dad. plowed all the after noon. I drove down town to see henry. and found him working up at Jim. Caley's new house. I told him what I wanted and he told me he would see me to-night and got my hair cut and saw him and he said he would be over Tursday moirnig. I went down to Huby's for aittlewhile and it was fairly latewhen I got home. Huby came over this after noon and cleaned up the chicken yard. It has been a lovely afternoon and night
