lot of work on this side as it is so soddy. I did chores all the after noon amnd went down to the mill to see if they had any barley for seed as Dad. thinks he will mix oats & barley to sow on the corn stu=bble. They only had the O.A.C. No 21 and it was $1.10 a bushel but I guess Dad. will get some. There were a couple of fellows down this morning from Simcoe Murdock was one of them and they wanted dad. for a witness at a law suit that is coming off next Tuesday Murdock says that hamilton & Yeager hired lea to skin him on a horse deal. The hiorse is the big grey stallion with the crooked legs that wa stravelling down here last spring and as dad. saw him they want to say tat he was unsound. Poor old Bluch has a pretty sore leg to-day and can only hop around on threee legs.He & Snook got into a fight uesterday and aparently Snoop was the best dog for onbcve in his life. It has been milder to-day with the wond in the south but very cloudy with a little rain.
