cutting the East side of the field about 5 O'Clock and I got it all set up. Frank had a very sick turn just as he finished, so I brought the team up and he the cows. We did not get up much too soon for while I was milking we had a heavy rain, but it cleared up in time for Hattie to go down and meet George and Miss Sutherland. We all had tea when they got back, very cool.

Sunday August 31st

It was showery all moerning nothing much but not nice to be in and. Hattie, George and Marion got ready for church but it rained when they were ready to start so they did not go and when it cleared off Dick and I drove Queen down with milk cream for Auntie and found out tere was no sertvice. Alice cam eover ion the afternoon and stayed to tea Lila was over too. Dick came over tin the morning having come up from Toronto last night by way iof Gaulkt. Cool and damp.
