I was very much surprised on my way down town to meet George who had come in at fibe o'clock and had tea at Aunty's. We expected him to-morrow night. Dad. had a letter from Dick to-day which has created a little excitement in the family circle as he told dad. that he had ran across a William Barrett out there who he thinks is the son of Fa's brother who left home at the time of the North & South war and was never heard of afterwards, and who has always suposedto have enlisted and nbeen killed with out ever being married.
