Wednesday May 19th

Dad. went back to the gully after the cows this morning and found Mary with a big roan bull calf, we left her back there all day. Frank went over to Tom Butler's and sheared his sheep for him this morning. I planted some more seeds in the garden and Dad. worked on the corn ground.

This after noon Frabk and I haulke dout some manure to put on a patch which Dad. wants to work up for strawberries. Bruce came after Dad. about threee o'clock to go down to Bob. Dougherty's with him to see a mare so Frank and I worke don the corn ground I worked till Frabk fgot the strawberry patch covered and then he took the team and I planted some more corn & my oats in the garden. I wrnt down to band practice tom-ght. Fair an dmild all day, sprinkled a little to-night.
