Tuesday October 11th

I went up to Ham's this morning and we managed to get the silo filled to-day. We had to wait quite awhile for this morning for them to get the machine started but then we had a fairly steady fore noon Frank Aewde an I were pitcjing on in the feldnback by the woods so as thete weree fiur teams hauing tey kept us oretty busy. It looked very black in ther nirth when we went back after dinner and w fgot mu=icly got started to load when a terrific winf got p, it got very dark and eventually started to rain, we finished putting on a fair oad and then we got nder the waggon for shelter. Whiteside's Scotchman was teamster and he turned his team with their backs to the storm. We sat there fir sme time but as it didn't show any sgns of letting up we wentup to the barn. I only ha d asweathe ron fr extra ckothes so got pretty wegt and lorety cold. We found the reat od the gang i the arn so we sat arund in there wil the rain was over. Then Billy, Mills, Frank Awde and I went back fr anothe rload & just nicley got back when it started up again and rained
