This after noon Dad. finished cutting the seed and Marj. and I loicke dup the potatoes that were dug. Mrs. Percy & Bessie Patterson were over to see marj. this after noon but didn't. Mr. Johnson the horse enthusiast was also in to hab=ve a look at Josie. We were entertaining faint hopes that she might rais eus another colt and Mr. Johnson was as anxious to see it aparently as we were as he admire's Joe's build so much but it is beginning to look now as if our hopes were vain Enah Marj. and I wemnt down towen to the reception for Mr & Mrs Cornish to-night. The Sunday school was full to overflowing. Cousin Willie was chairman and he, Mr. Barwell, Jack martin, Dr. Cook, Col. Smith, W.J. Thompson & Sam Morris all mad erather silly speeches, the flattery of wehich mush have made Mr. Cornish feel queer, he replied to them and didn't seem to be enjoying himself very much Then we had coffee & cake. Marj. and I took Mrs. Wood to the affair and afterwards Dick Tibbits brought us home in his car. Mr. Farnsworth invited himself to sing and Molly & Doc. & Mrs. Lemons also sang accrodning to pre-arrangmeents though
