in the present building programme, and the Japs Brirtish and Americans are buildimng some ships which surpass anything yet planne din the way of deadly destructiveness. It seems to be that the most hopeful sign is fact that all the strongest nations are going to meet at one table and appear to have a peace while I don;'t believe public sentiments were ever quite so much aroused and popular opinion more decidely opposed to preparations for war.
