was that I didn't do chores before daylight as I ha dintended as I thought the day would be too rough to go after wood, later in the fore noon, however it stopped snowing and was not such a bad day as it wasn't very cold, so I hooked up and drove over home after first going to Shand's and speaking for their wood rack. It was after eleven when I got to the farm so it was too late to go to the woods before dinner but we went up this afternoon with George & Pommers. Frank sawe Proper and borrowed his wood rack so we didn'thave to go out to Shand's, we all three went up to the bush and fund a very busy place. There was a biggang up there andthe mill was going so therev were some at it sawing, some piling lumber some clipping & sawing in the. bush and Bill McDonald was smoking logs to ther saw. It seems a great opity to me to see that firne piece of bush on ther lake bank being cleared right off. Dad. had quite a time getting into the place where the wood was as they had the main track blocked with logs and Geirge & Pommers are not used to ploughing around through deep snow and bush but they got thet=re and I got a load of hard maple foer five dollars but therewasa. a geat deal of small brancj wppd mixed weith
