discouraging for her that she went to bed. She was tired out anyeway. It looks to me as if the fat that is in the jars wouldhermetically seal them, so that I don't see why it shouldmatter if a little got in at the top. She had 11 pints of it. This after noon I cleane dout the pullets pen and put some fresh straw in and I cleaned out the old hens pen after tea. It is so beai=utifull moomnlight rthat it is relaly the best time to do it as it soedn'rt disturb the hens. Now that I have such nic estraw on hand I didn't want to lose any time cleaning them as they neede it. Harry B was out all the after noon helping me Harry Blake wa sin tbis after noon and left our assessment at $1000. Beauriful day, sunny and very mild.
