horses to sell so would be pretty late when they finished. We were rather chilly when we got back here but Marj. had just baked so we got warm filling up on Willie Grants. Frank walked home. Milder this morning but colder to-night.

Friday February 20th

As we wanted to have an early dinner and go to town this after noon I didn't do much this fore noon but chores We went to town in the buggy and it was a tight squeeze for all of us to get in and felt very uncomfortable after rthe roomy cutter. We took the egg crate and Harry B sat on it. I thought may be Dad. would want to get a load of silage this after noon but we saw hm down toen and he said to let ot go till to-morrow, so we just stayed at Aunty's for awhile after getting our groceries. Dad. was dfown with a letter he had just received from in answer to the one he wrote concerning the "Fortune". The letter to-day is perplexing & promising It is from a firm of lawyers who say they have for many years been and still are the solicitors to the trustees of a fund to which they say they can help Dad. formulate and possibly prove a claim. They ask him to answer a good many questions concerning
