Monday May 4th

It rained for about an hour this forenoon as well as during the night. While it was raining I patched up one of the old road danger signs which had got broken in some unaccountable way and then put in a post to hang my new gate on.

I went down town right after dinner so if Azadouhy came back but tere was no sign of her. Marj. told her Saturday that she would like her to come back Sunday night and that if she came Monday she would have to walk out. She was quite oeeved when she left Marj. said so we don't know what to think, whether she is not coming back or whether she thought it was too wwet if she ahd to walk or whether she is too busy getting her father anothe rjob. I was dfwn at Aunty's for awhile and by the time I got home the after noon was pretty qwell spent but I did put in a brace between that gate post & the gully fence. I got some bracde wire in town Quint & Mr. parks went to indsor to-day to see Aunt Ella. It has been rather cloudy ll the after noon and wuite cold. It froze the night before last and will freeze again to-night. I don't know what effect it will jave on the fruit blossoms as they are well advanced some of them
