Wednesday September 23rd
I pulled corn here and piled it this morning while Dad. & Frank put on a load over home and took it down. Frank came out here this after noon and put on what I had pulled and helped me finish the field. We got down there about five and didn't have to wait very long to get unloaded but it was dark when I got home. We just had 2380 on. The field didn't turn out nearly as well as I thought it would before we started. There is still a patch back of the barn but we will leave that for a day or two. The Bagley's were over this after noon to invite Marj. to a party there on Friday. Marj. canned corn to-day. Froze slightly last night, no damage. Fine & cool to-night.
Thrusday September 24th
Marj. & I soent about an hour this morning stretching a couple of pieces of woven wire around the end of the orchard to prevent the cows from gerting into the dooryard anf from there anywhere else in the county.We thought we had a cow proof fence but when I got home toi-might I found Mary out. The fence kelt the othe two in the orchard and Mary k=must have jumpe dit. I put her in the barnyard and then dorve the othewr two around and
