I made an attempt this morning to patch the north sid eof the barn roof which has some very bad hole sin it I got some of the worst covered up but couldn;t make a vert good job as I couldn't sit on the roof without slifi==ding I had a rope over the eoaj=ka nd snubbed to. apost but as I had to take one hand to hold it I couldn't do much wuth the other alone. Right after dinner I drove Aunty Alice {do}wn towen, as Mrs. Skey had issued her an invitation to {a} bridge party and she didn't dare refuse. I fo=gor some {co}al oil and flour and stoppe din at the farm to see {if} they had any word yet of Shoff & his corn binder but {they} hadnb't. I put the cowes in when I got home and theb {gotm} reayd to go dowm with Marj. to see the collection of {pic}tures and have tea in the hall. I got my new suit from Fisher this afternoon. Mabel called for us after four and took us and her Aunt down and Aunty stayed there with the children. We had a very nic etea and the pictures were good but most of them were in a poor light. We got home about half past eight {or} nine and Mabel & Mrs Walker came on for awhile Aunty said the children had been very good and the baby slept till after theu left. Sid told me to-day {that} Norman Holden had the Customs Office.
