25th of July 1894 St James Day EW Fine Rain to the north no Rain here Mowing Back of the Barn a new Boat went Down and came up in the morning

26th very Fine Mowing Back of the old Garden Turning Hay making coils the Blackbirds commencing the Grain a few Ducks around now see a Big smoke at Hopkins Point\

27th very Fine Mowing making coils Turning Hay using the Potatoes

28th Began the West stack the wind is too high to Finish it Put in the Barn 3 Loads Windy not Feeling very well Boats going in abundance Raft went Down Randolph here to night Told us they Found P Purcell seen a Kind of White Cloud in the sky coming from the East almost like the Tail of a comet

29th Fine Windy

30th Fine Windy Mowing on the hill and the Wet Place commenced to Rain and heavy north Wind Mr Genie came had a Basket of Huckle Berries
