July | 20 | very heavy thunder & lightning & rain last night Ad Jennet & Bessie & Jenee went to Gananoque to see Barnums show |
21 | mowed the orchard fine day & part of the midle field | |
22 | mowed in the midle field in the forenoon Wallace McNiel helped in the afternoon had 3 loads put 1 over the cows 1 over the horses 1 in the old barn little mow | |
23 | finished cuting south half of midle field & Raked part of it cut part of the North half raked & drew 3 loads put 2 in the New Barn & 1 in the little mow of the old Barn Wallace McNiel helped in the afternoon | |
24 | cut all the North half of midle field all but a piece next the north ditch that is left for seed the grass is very light Ad raked it into to winrows very warm day | |
25 | Ad went to help Wallace McNiel this forenoon Wallace came & helped him in the afternoon got in 3 loads put 1 in old Barn big mow 2 over the cows | |
26 | Revd Mr Ferguson in the morning & Mr Mathews in the evening {illegible} preached instead of Mr Cuningham | |
27 | I acted as Returning officer at a raft of the Elections to rais the sum of ten thousand dollars for the roads there was 78 for & 16 against it is our ward Ad got a dog from Mr Latimer | |
rain | 28 | Ad went to the River with a load for a pic Nic party heavy rain in the afternoon I went for the cows at night John Johnstons Bull was in our field he attacked me through me down |
29 | Ad cut the field at the end of the old house field that fencing{?} our cuting with the mower expect the seed peice | |
31 | Wallace McNiel helped Ad to get in the hay they 1 load to Thomas Bradleys to pay him for a load Ad got last spring put in over the cows 1 in the little mow old Barn |
