19th of April 1888 Fine Windy Boiling a Little in the Bush Gathered 8 pails put out the Boat Leaks some ice at the shore yet Lots of ice coming Down Lewis the Indian here with corn gave him Butter syrup Mill cucumberseeds took supper him and Martin cutting stove wood Letting the water run at the wet place below the house Stanley not well taking a Board of the Banking to let it thaw out cows going to Pitt Point sap not running very well heard the Frogs

21st Granada's First Trip from Dundee Fine Leander crofsed for the Mail Bought pipe Lozenges Took home the EEl spear

22nd Reading The Boys in the Bush Windy

23rd St George's Day The Festival of the English Fine Alex Green an Indian here took some Banking out of the cookhouse seen a Rat pushing away ice from our Landing Place Made 12 lb of Sugar to Day Water Low

24th Taking away the West Banking and some out of cookhouse Leander Found an Elm plank 16 Feet Long Lewis Boy and Girl here had calico Basket got Butter Milk

25th St Marks Day Fine Wind cold W Wind Shot a Rat Took up Genies Pine from the shanty took up Narcifse's Bun put out our Bun Stanley and I went around the Island Leander & Livinia Boiling Big cakes of ice going Down

26th Fine Day Fisherman came John Nine here Amiot here Got 2 EEls from Amiot Gave John 9 a stick for oars Taking Banking out of the shed Filed the Leach with Ashes Lot of ice going Down

27th Fine Fixed the Double Stove in the cookhouse Fixing up the Boards taking Banking {illegible} shed Fixing Barrels
