Monday, September 13, 1897 Showery. Cultivating and harrowing. Cleaned some wheat for seed.

Tuesday, September 14, 1897 Fine, warm. Harrowing in the forenoon. Drilling wheat in afternoon.

Wednesday, September 15, 1897 Warm and dry. Drilling wheat and harrowing.

Thursday, September 16, 1897 Warm and showery. Cultivating all day.

Friday, September 17, 1897 Fine. Harrowing in forenoon. Drilling in afternoon. I got 4½ bu. of Dawson’s Golden Chaff wheat from H. G. French.

Saturday, September 18, 1897 Fine. Hard frost. I finished drilling wheat and cleaned the furrows out.
