Sat Jan 17. Fine and moderaely cold. I called to see Mrs Noble and Mrs Parkinson in afternoon. splendid sleighing. Measils stirring.

Sun Jan 18. Fine and moderately cold. A fall of light snow cleaned at ten. I went to morning church. turned very cold.

Mon Jan 19. Very cold 6 below zero. I went to Toronto home at noon. Fann Bowes called. Snowed at night. W.Cooks for cheques wuttin.

Tue Jan 20. A lot of light snow. Willie called. I called Rectory and Wilcox.

Wed Jan 21. Fine bright and moderately cold. at Welsh's for tea.

Thur Jan 22. Fine at first I called to see Mrs Wiltshire then about 10 the wind got up blocked Yonge Street a good bit.

Fri Jan 23. A lovely bright day very frosty 10 below zero. Annie ha the Club. I went there for the night.

Sat Jan 24. Very clowdy but could not see Eclipse just partly dark. 9.AM. some seen it slightly in some parts of city.

Sun Jan 25. Fine and mild. bright sun-shine all day first day it thawed any for weeks.. about 12 Dec it rained there colder. Willie and Mary here for dinner. I went church. Mrs Davidson and I at eve church first eve since 14 Sept.

Mon Ja 26. A fall of light snow then wind increasing and colder. A very stormy night but cars kept going. Vestey Meeting.

Tue Jan 27. Turned very cold 1 below zero it was 18 and 20 Eastern gap. continued cold all day and at noon 7 below going to. 0 and 12 below at midnight. I helped Mrs D. qrult.

Wed Jan 28 Cold east wind but up to 2 below at 8. AM. I was at Mrs Davidsons quilting. Willie first called in yard.
