not have thought that his good sense would have let it carry him so far. I haven't the least doubt about his honesty nor has Robb I think but he has one of these machines for measuring gasoline and it may be out of kilter. It is too bad to have a thing like that mar the peaceful & neighborly relations of the Marburg community, especially just before Christmas. I didn't do much this afternoon but let a little more water off the cornfield when it stopped raining. Very mild
Sunday December 6th
It has been a very disagreeable day. Cloudy, windy and wet. We were very late getting up and had breakfast between nine and ten so didn't have any dinner at least not at noon. I sat around the house after I got the chores done till about two o'clock and then I walked over to the farm for awhile. Dad. and Tim were the only ones home. I came back about four and did the chores up before dark and about six we had a chicken dinner
