Saturday January 9th
It snowed all night by the looks of things for this morning every thing was covered not only outdoors but in the porch & the barn and where ever the east wind could penetrate. It snowed most of the morning but hasn't been a bad day. I thought of going down to Archie Lang's farm to look at some cheap hay he has stacked but as it snowed so much I didn't go. I spent the fore noon doing odd jobs and sweeping paths, and helping Marj. wash some flannels which is a terribly particular job, and requires a vast ammount of knowledge & experience.
