was afraid somebody would come in and catch her baking on Sunday. I helped her a little as I couldn't escape being caught in the vortex of her industrial activity but I am not cut out for big business so I went over and swept the school house and then went over to Trum's and got the milk. I was over there quite awhile talking to Trum. & Wilbur who with {Olph.?} & the kids were at Mrs. Walker's for dinner. Wilbur bought a milking Shorthorn cow down at the Caledonia sale and a Holstein heifer out at Challand's. He & Trum were discussing the merits of silos and sugar-jacks I never heard of the latter but it seems there are a lot of them being installed up west and Lorne Roberts is putting on it. As near as I can understand they make any kind of dry fodder into a food equivalent to silage but make it as it is used. Trum. has hauled a lot of gravel for a silo but has decided to abandon the idea of building as it means too much work at filling time. Froze hard last night but has been milder to-day.
