was afraid somebody would come in and catch her baking on Sunday. I helped her a little as I couldn't escape being caught in the vortex of her industrial activity but I am not cut out for big business so I went over and swept the school house and then went over to Trum's and got the milk. I was over there quite awhile talking to Trum. & Wilbur who with {Olph.?} & the kids were at Mrs. Walker's for dinner. Wilbur bought a milking Shorthorn cow down at the Caledonia sale and a Holstein heifer out at Challand's. He & Trum were discussing the merits of silos and sugar-jacks I never heard of the latter but it seems there are a lot of them being installed up west and Lorne Roberts is putting on it. We only ate about half of it as it was bigger than it looked. Dorothy Mary in whose honour the party was slept as usual till the middle of the after noon but then woke up and enjoyed herself.

Harry B. opened her presents that they brought her, and I suppose as it was all wearing apparel & cold cash, it didn't appeal to him muchas he exclaimed "Well, this isn't much of. abirthdsaay!" but he enjoyed it never-the-less. Mabel came over after four and seemed rather dismayed to run into a party but she stayed to tea and for the evening so I went down and stayed to tea at Aunty's and wet to band practice. I didn't hurry home after practice as Huby Quint
