over there and helped Dad. haul out manure. I was late getting over so we didn't get in an extra good day. Frank coolly informed us when we came home that he was going over to plough for Roy Hammond to-morrow as we wouldn't be through with the manure so I went over again Tuesday and helped Dad. although I had figured on being home. Wednesday I didn't go over but as Queen's harness was over there I couldn't work the team but just did odd jobs around here. Thursday being the King's birthday school was closed and Tim came over here with his rifle to shoot groundhogs in the after noon and I foolishly went with him so didn't get much done. Marj. was very provoked at me. She was over at the Lampkin's all the after noon as poor old Dave was laid up again with his legs swelled up. Friday June 4th Dad. brought the spreader over and we covered the corn ground putting it 8 loads to the acre, and we didn't use quite all there was in the yard.
