telling of the judges decu=ision and it was blazoned on the front page of the Brantford Expositor to-nihgt with a heading nearly as big as that announcing the defeat of Meighen's government by one vote. First thing thiis moirning a big car drove in the lane & a young man came over to where Dad was raking and held a long interview with him. Finally Dad. called me over and introduced him as Mr. Pearce of the Simcoe Reformer. He said a press depatch had come through from Torontothis morning and he wanted all the details he could get. Dad. was loathe to say much but when he found the papers had got as much as they had he thought it was no use to try to keep ny of it quiet. Pearce had not been gone long when Mr. McKinnes the Prebyterian minister drove in & said that a friend of his on the Hamilton Herald had called him up and aske dhim to come over and get an interview with Dad. About five o'clock Mr. Barwell drove over. He was half dead with a bad ghreadache but he said he couldn't rersist coming over to congratulate dad. & showed him the Brantford Expositor which ha dunder big head lines
