Monday September 6th
It has been a fine day but too wet from yesterday's rain to do any thing with the hay so I spent the day here at hime puttingthe roof on my new chcken pen I got what little sheeting is necessary for a tin roof on both sides and got the roofing on the nrth side I didn't make a good job of it getting it started crooked in some way but it will afford some shelter for them. Ina was had been here all day helping Marj. get ready. I picked a couple of bushels of early apples in the younf orchard this after noon to sent to Dorrie & Phyl. I forgot, but it it did rain one very heavy shower early in the fre noon
