FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 1872. Gloomy & cold, rained a little after

Saturday March 1st 1879 A hurricane of wind & snow, a very severe day were rather surprised to hear after breakfast that John Watson had died this morning about 4 o'clock, though ailing for sometime his death was rather unexpected. A sad family to leave behind -

Sunday 2nd Storm cleared off and day again pleasant

Monday 3rd March Walked out to the Barn today and already feel like a new creature. As I have been mercifully dealt with may I be thankful accordingly. May this bright day be a forerunner of what is before us but the will of God be done

Tuesday March 4th Day gloomy & unpleasant. Revd J. G. Smith arrived from Kingston to hold missionary meeting. A good attendance George drove him to the station after eight o'clock
