Saturday, April 13, 1872

Raw and cool. heavy squall in the evening sleet and rain

Friday March 7th 1879

Alexander Stevenson arrested tonight,and to Napanee jail. william Mcdonald also but he made his escape.all this for severe beating given to Jack in the early part of winter still an invalid

Saturday, March 8th

officers returned this morning and again made search for McDonald, but by this time he is across the frontier Alex Stevenson & Wm Olley went to Napanee to give bail for Alex, but were unsuccessful-tial to be next Thursday. went to Kingston

Monday, March 10th

weather changed. thawing very fast,and fields getting bare. Olley began to thresh old wheet
