Alexander Stevenson arrested tonight,and to Napanee jail. william Mcdonald also but he made his escape.all this for severe beating given to Jack in the early part of winter still an invalid

officers returned this morning and again made search for McDonald, but by this time he is across the frontier Alex Stevenson & Wm Olley went to Napanee to give bail for Alex, but were unsuccessful-tial to be next Thursday. went to Kingston
