Tuesday, April 23, 1872

day milder in the morning, went round the head of the island over to Aldrain's point and reached snowing heavily-had to quit and came home Monday, April 28th,1879 day mild and warm, steamer passed and called, leaving off Mr.Nixon, brought graindrill & Wilson purchased the have give up my agency as no hope appears of going anything this spring,received Books & Copies of trees, but no trees have as yet arrived
