April, 1925.
27 Monday. Clear. Cold wind blowing Walter & Ella did the washing this morning. Aubrey was cultivating Ella planted her dahlias and sowed morning flories & scarlet runners Mr.&Mrs. Wes. Umbach visited us tonight.
28 Tuesday. Fine and warmer. Walter & Aubrey were plowing. Ella did her ironing. Ella's callers this afternoon were Ruth & Rubt Schwindt Edith Spies and Mrs. George Snider.
29 Wednesday. Cold & windy. Walter & Aubrey were plowing. Walter plowed the garden today.
30 Thursday. Cloudy cold & windy Aubrey was seeding and harrowing. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira Ella planted early potatoes, onions carrots and some flower seeds-larkspurs, california poppies, nigellas, pinks, and scabiosa.
