May 1906

Thrusday 3rd Dull J.W. plowing sod & discing & rolling. Ernest rolling & doing chores. I went to town in morning and hauled some manure in the Afternoon, then prepared to go to Ottawa on AA. record business. Ticket. 1560 Sleepr. 200 pd porter. 10 breakfast 25.
Friday 4th fine I met Mr McLeod at Brockville and stayed with him to Ottawa, then We went to see Office and then to Mr Spencer's Who soon got Mr Greig & Took us to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture. We had quite a discussion and Mr McGregor also of N.W. T. was called in and when Minister heard both sides he decided in favor of Winnipeg for the first Annual Meeting We made some changes in the Constitution and then started for home, had dinner with Mr McGregor and sold him E.P. Ranger for $200 Sleeper $200 dinner 50c
Sat 5th fine Went to Cheltenham, Tiel at 75c spent a pleasant day looked over John's Stock and also Mr Sharp's. .75
Sunday 6th fine Col. 100 Superanuation fund 200 02. Mother Aunt Jane & I went to Church. Heard Mr Marshall preach Memorial Service. 1.00 2.00 .02
Monday hauling & spreading manure bgt meat in evening. $1.70 1.70
