August, 1929.
21 Wednesday. Hot day. The men both helped to thresh at Sam Horsts this forenoon and the machine moved here after dinner. These men helped - Noah Miller, Eph Snyder, Enoch & Irvin Schneider Sam Horst and Frank Fairweather.
22 Thursday. Hot and sultry. We threshed again this forenoon and the same men helped also Charlie Miller. This afternoon they helped at Noah Miller's.
23 Friday. Thunderstorms and a little rain this morning The men helped to thresh at Enoch Schneider's this afternoon. Irvin was badly scalded while putting water into the tractor this afternoon.
24 Saturday. Fine day. The men were both helping to thresh at Enoch's all day. Ella & Betty had a picnic in King's bush. We went to Elmira tonight.
