Saturday March 7th

My tooth hurt so after I went to bed that I made up my mind to go down and get Bill to get the other root out to-day. We didn't get up very early and I spent the fore noon doing chores and sweeping the school-house but went down right after dinner. Bill said at first he couldn't pull it as it was too sore yet to monkey with but when he looked at it he said the gum had receded more than he expected so he did pull it. It was painful but came out with one pull. I went down to Aunty's for awhile afterwards and lay down and they tied my face up to drive home. It was very painful again to-night just befor I went to bed but I eased it with Sloan's liniment and the hot water bottle. I thought he put a piece of cotton batten in it and as he told me last week to be sure and take it out before I went to bed I fished and prodded around with a darning needle for this piece but couldn't find it and neither could Marj. so I don't know whether it is there or I swallowed it.

Transcription Tips

• Follow the example of transcribing provided in the first few PDF files of this diary.
• Click Edit when you’re ready to start transcribing.
• Click Detach to move the transcription box to a convenient location.
• Copy the text as it is, including misspellings and abbreviations.
• Start each new day with a new line. Otherwise ignore spacing and alignments.
• Use toolbar heading options for any headings in the text, i.e. diary titles.
• Use toolbar table generator for any tables in the text, i.e. finance records.
• Use toolbar comment option to add your own comments, i.e. illegible text or uncertain names or description of drawings.
• Use toolbar stroke through text option to transcribe crossed-out text.
• When done press "Save Transcription" to save your work.
• Note: If a line on one page appears to carry over on the same line on the next page, please check the next page and (if applicable) transcribe both pages together as if they are one page. Type your unified transcription under the first of the two pages.
