18th of March 1901 St Josephs Day On This Day of the Month Vicky Departed 1887 Randolph and Eddy here Eddy came for Fernandez to go to chop a very Fine Day Fishing got 2 Pikes 7 Perch cutting ice 3 sleighs of Indians passed up one took Wood of the small Island Seen a Black Fox Passed 2 Dogs on the south side
19th Fine cold Frosty East Wind a Strange Dog here Blew hard to night
20th near the Last Day of Winter Fernandez came to night Last night chopping at Frashers for Eddy Renshaw Drew 2 Loads of Wood to the House then Went to Draw the Ice cut in the Back Bay to the other House a Fine Day took 2 Loads of ice Rained Heavy to night and soe Heavy Gusts of Wind I suppose its the Equinoxes crofsing the Line as its near the Last Day of Winter we will have the Equinoztinal Gales The Time the Day and Nights are near Equal
21st Fine Spring Begins a very Fine Day Some says the 22nd cutting ice and Drawing it to the other House Randolph here Brought Nicholson's crofscut saw about 7 Teeth Broke in it Fixed it some some Windy at noon the Strange Dog here yet goes away and comes around again the Sun Went Down very very Red and awful Bright Alexander Fraser here paying Fernandez for Working at the Stones for the Lancaster Wharf 13 1/2 or 14 Dollars got a Frog
22nd Livinia Senior Birth Day Blowing Snowing Blissardy Drifting Fine Randolph here Eddy here Working at the Ice very squally to Day Turning cold and Windy this Evening Freezing
23rd Fine Day 2 Boys went to Lancaster for Sawdust an Indian passed Down with a 1 Horse Sleigh for Wood First Blackbirds came this Morning Killed a House Rat John Hamilton and Thomas Jack here Took Home the Ram 3 of Lewis children hee got the Potatoes 9 of them Leander crofsed to Summerstown Wild Geese came Black Ducks Grass Birds heard a Robin Whistlers Blue Bills
24th A Fortunate Day Fine Livinia and Ionia went to Randolph's Gordon Randolph Dan Spink here Fishing Perch got a Pike this Evening a Strange Dog here to Day

25th of March 1901 Lady Day Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Fine East Wind cool Stanley went to Fort Covington the other 2 Went to Lancaster I sent a Letter with them to John Cameron Junction City Kansas sent for Writing Paper 25 cents 2 cents for Postage got 15 cents Back of change Bought an Iron Bedstead 8 Dollars Boots Stanley got Boots Fixed got a Handle for crofs cut saw got a Pike
26th John Hamilton Cameron Birth Day 1876 Fine Barrie and Eddie Renshaw here took home the sugar Pot Got 6 Bushels of Oats for Jo Douquett cranes came Rain to Day and to night Began to Tap Raining all night
27th Drops of Rain Fishing at Perch Tapt in the Last of the newmoon Took over to someone a pike Dresed Leander Did
28th Unfortunate Day Fernandez went to Barnharts for our axehelves Brought here only 2 had a Box of cartriges I got the April Number of the Home Journal a Put put a Big Dry Fire in the Stove when there was a Good Fire in Stuffed it some Wind Few Grains of snow
29th Unfortunate Day Kind of Gloomy Stanley went From Home to Day and no one in the House Knows where he went to as I asked at the Dinner Table where he Went Killed 4 Ducks to Day Tame ones Gordon here this Evening Stanley did not come home to night Windy to night
30th a very Fine Day some Wind sun warm Randolph here went to Line got a 6 lb Pike on it Drew 3 or 4 Loads of Firewood took the Plank of steps for the Mill over to the Barn from here Fernandez went o Lancaster Leander in the Sugar Bush Tapped 231 Trees now
31st Palm Sunday Fine Stanley came Leander went up to church came Back 1/2 past 2 Last of the Month
1st of April All-Fools Day Fine Tapping some about 12 to Day Fixing Barrels took Big Pans to the camp took Tin Pans to camp
2nd a very Fine Warm Day about 290 Tapt now
3rd Raining Snowing Rained hard to night 1 of the cows calved
My Name on My Kansas Almanack was torn off
