Thur Dec 24. Fine and cold quite a flurry of light snow last night. Lorraine brought their gifts in morning.
Fri Dec 25. Fine bright but quite frosty. all nicely covered with light snow. a perfect day. for Christmas we were all at Annies.
Sat Dec 26. Fine and very cold. I opened goose. six below zero and getting much colder. I was at Annies.
Sun Dec 27. Fine but extremely cold. 18 and 20 below and some 2. and 15 below at 10 AM. then at night rises to 10 above. I was at morning church. Mrs Smellie here in afternoon.
Mon Dec 28. Fine and moderately cold. I went to Toronto ordered goose. 11 1/4 lbs 30 cts Lizzie and children came to Annie
Tue Dec 29. Fine and cold. but perfect day. We all went to Willies for dinner at night. about 4.30 left here. a goose and three chickens. home about 9.30.
Wed Dec 30. Fine and quite cold. Lizzie called. I have a slight cold. at our Christmas Tree in hall. I took Margaret and Phyllis. Mr C. called.
Thur Dec 31. FIne and moderately cold. Lizzie and children went home. I roasted geese a little over two hours I took one to Mrs Davidsons oven. Metor read. a perfect day. Annie came here. I have been there about two weeks for night. the pudding at Simpsons 4 lbs for $2.00
